Please join the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) and Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS) to learn when a school district must provide compensatory services tostudents with disabilities who did not receive the services to which they were entitled due to the pandemic and how to do so.
?Compensatory services are designed to remedy education or other deficits resulting from a student with a disability not receiving services they were due under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504) and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). In this webinar, subject matter experts will discuss all aspects of compensatory services under Section 504 and the IDEA and parents and state and district level administrators responsible for developing plans to address pandemic related compensatory services will share their experiences.
