Schools have the responsibility to promote equitable outcomes for all students; however, national and local data demonstrate persistent racial/ethnic and socioeconomic inequities in special education identification, the use of exclusionary discipline practices and other student outcomes. In this workshop, participants will examine data to identify disparities, discuss the root causes of disparities and disproportionality, and identify individual and schoolwide strategies to promote equitable outcomes for all students.
