Julie Holt has over a decade of education experience in Washington, DC. As an Education Pioneer Fellow and then as a staff member, she worked with DCPS’ Central Office on projects such as Section 504, student discipline, and student support teams. She has been with E.L. Haynes for ten years working on their Student Support Services team and is currently the Director of Special Education. Before moving to DC, she worked in Boston, MA at South Boston High School running a peer mediation program and in Providence, RI running an elementary community school program and then a middle school after-school initiative. She has a BA from Boston University in English Literature and an Ed.M. in Risk and Prevention from Harvard University Graduate School of Education. She currently lives in Washington, DC with her husband, two children, and their dog.
