INCLUDDC_INCLUDE-RGBE DC: Practical Teaching Strategies for Inclusive Classrooms

INCLUDE DC is the Cooperative’s graduate level course for general education teachers working in inclusive charter school classrooms. This course emphasizes a proactive approach to instructional design and planning for diverse student learners. Participants use the history and evolution of special education regulation as a background for understanding why careful, purposeful, and proactive instructional design are essential components of a successfully inclusive classroom. Three credits are available through Trinity University for qualified participants.

Why INCLUDE DC? 

As federal mandates continue to emphasize the provision of a free and appropriate public education to students with special needs in the least restrictive environment, ALL educators must be prepared with the knowledge and tools needed to successfully educate exceptional learners.

Since it’s inception in 2013, the Co-op has graduated 119 teachers from the INCLUDE program!

We now have two INCLUDE options:

INCLUDE DC for teachers in grades 2-12

INCLUDE DC/EC for teachers in PS, PK, K, and 1
