INCLUDE DC: Special Education Tools for General Educators is a graduate level course designed for general education teachers working in inclusive classrooms in DC schools. !

Co-op Boot Camp

The Special Education Director at a DC charter school has a significant level of responsibility for implementing a compliant and high quality program. This session is designed to assist new Sped Directors to:

  • develop a clear understanding of DC’s Special Education Landscape;
  • clarify key aspects of the role; and
  • connect to Co-op resources that will facilitate their work.

This training is limited to brand new (first year) Sped Directors and/or a Sped Director new to DC. There is a limit of one seat per LEA held annually in summer.

CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention

The Cooperative is a Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certified trainer! We can provide one or two day on-site trainings in crisis prevention and intervention.

Custom On-Site Professional Development for Members

All charter school staff need a basic understanding of special education and the tools to help them work effectively with students with disabilities.  The Cooperative provides fee-based, customized professional development workshops that will help your LEA to be compliant and deliver quality special education services to students.
