Washington Latin Public Charter School is seeking a District of Columbia certified Special Education Teacher for grades 9-12. Job Description

Case manager for students enrolled in special education: develop and write IEPs, organize and lead multidisciplinary team meetings for initial and reevaluations, ensure appropriate modification/accommodations used by students and staff, maintain confidential/accurate records within the mandatory timelines for federal and district level records audits.
Provide special education instruction in accordance with IEPs, supports general education assignments/ course work in pullout and/or inclusive settings.
Develop, organize, and oversee transition program for students 13.5 and older.
Working knowledge to ensure compliance of federal and district special education laws IDEA, ADA, Section 504.
Participate in staff professional development needs, creates and delivers workshops.
Coordinate related services providers and school staff for scheduling and sharing information.
Maintains records of money allotted for special education students , procures materials/supplies.
